Drive away Teltschik & co
As every year, we have the next so called NATO security conference soon. On February the 6th to 8th 2004 the elite of war hipped politicians, military and armament bigwigs will arrive at the hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich in order to exchange how to prevail their global capitalistic interests even in a military way.
“The generally aim of the Munich conference for security policy, inducing peaceful solutions for current conflicts is not been reached for that time.”, as one can read in the closing report 2003 at the homepage of the war meeting. This smugly statement is an infamy, because in fact there were hit the latest agreements related on the war in Iraque, Rumsfeld in person didn’t travel for nothing.
Everyone, who wants to make people believe, that this war conference is an international peace conference, as the organizer of the SECO, Horst Teltschik recently said in an interview, should know that this is absurd and foolish. More than that, such a statement should be estimated as a well known deception of the public, however out of Teltschik nothing else was to expect. One who was the long term foreign and safety policy advisor of Helmut Kohl and nowadays president of Boeing Deutschland , one of the world wide largest armament combines is well versed in dirty political business.
The coming war conference is, as Teltschik said “about the further development of the transatlantic relationships”. That man is not just speaking with forked tongue, but in addition he is badly informed. Because even if, that can just be about an intra limitation of damage. The autumn meeting made clear again, that the uprising power runs undisputable against American interests. In spite of all difference of opinion and conflicts of interest in between the NATO, we can proceed from having a “common risk analysis” to tackle the imminent worldwide interventions. The Munich conference is surely one place where the debate will be lead about that. At the end of the interview Teltschik tells us about some of the reasons, why he persists still on holding the conference at the hotel Bayerischer Hof. “That the participants can go shopping and enjoying the city during the break.” This was actually his reason. We are enthusiastically, Mr. Teltschik! Especially interesting is the finishing sentence: “the police and safety forces told me, that they can guarantee savety at every time.” The total prohibition in 2002 was put on because even this security could supposedly not be guaranteed.
Even now the advertising for the coming conference by the side of the war beaters is increasing. The interview with Teltschik was just the start, at Dec. the 15th there is also the 1st press interview (11.00 o’clock Presseclub München, Marienplatz 22) in addition there will take place a lot of public discussion events and press interviews. There are some good reasons why they invest such a lot of energy to represent the war conference positively in public. On the one hand they want to celebrate jubilee on the occasion of the 40th meeting and on the other hand the place of the conference is unsteady. Let’s slam their jubilee and care for that being the last meeting at Bayerischer Hof.
